Beaking Down The System II

“All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him.”
- Sun Tzu, the Art of War

Did you ever see Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome? A very tiny man ” The Brain” was controlling a massive heap of violent flesh “The Body”. The little man sat on his shoulders and controlled the bigger man because he used intelligent subversion. If he had tried to use violence against the big man he may or may not have hurt him. More likely he would have just annoyed him. However it would not have been probable that he would have made any lasting impact. By using non-violent tactics the little man became the master of the huge hulk of man and controlled him peacefully and seemingly by remote control. In that case, the little man not only gained control but he was running the show. You can piss off the machine with violence or you can short circuit it with intelligent subversive tactics it doesn’t understand.

Confusing it peacefully into submission is way underrated.

It is possible that this was different in the past but we are past that point now. We have to move beyond violence if we are to make a positive impact. Otherwise we are just poking the big man and not achieving very much.
