Breaking Down The System * With Love
Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see.-Martin Luther King, Jr.

Interesting that they try to honor King’s legacy with romanticized militarism, machine guns, assassinations and bombs. King understood that you can’t stop violence with violence. His approach to non-violence was not out of weakness but rather out of necessity. You can’t beat “them” at the violence game. They simply have more and better guns and bombs than you do. Any attempt to do so is usually futile. It simply doesn’t work.
You can however beat them by not playing the game and dropping out of their system. Non-violence was one approach to this. It was a game changer. Show them violence and they react as planned, show them non-violence and kindness and they don’t know how to act. Something gets shorted in their computer. It’s the ultimate act of intelligent subversion.
A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom. – MLK
